FORT SMITH, AR – Summit Utilities, Inc. (SUI), the parent company of Arkansas Oklahoma Gas Corporation (AOG), announces the retirement of the company’s Chief Administrative Officer, Kim Linam.

Linam has been with SUI and AOG for almost 20 years. She served as AOG’s Chief Financial Officer until 2014 when she took the helm of the company as the Chief Executive Officer. In that role she led the company’s integration efforts when Summit Utilities acquired AOG in 2017. Following the acquisition, Linam assumed the role of Chief Administrative Officer, overseeing human resources, gas control, gas supply and information technology.

“Kim has been an influential leader of this company for almost twenty years. Her time at AOG as CFO and CEO positioned AOG as the perfect partner for Summit. Kim’s mentorship, especially of the women on our team, will be greatly missed,” said SUI’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Kurt Adams.

Kim has been involved in numerous organizations in the Fort Smith area over her career. Most recently she was Board Chair of the Fort Smith Chamber of Commerce and completes her term on the Chamber Executive Board this December.

“AOG and the entire community of Fort Smith have benefited from Kim’s leadership and involvement over the years,” Fred Kirkwood, SUI’s Chief Customer Officer said. “From serving on the board of numerous charities to her leadership at AOG, Kim has focused on lifting others and giving back. We wish her the best in her retirement.”
