Guiding Principles of Arkansas Oklahoma Gas Community Giving Program

At Summit we understand that we are all in this together and we are only as strong as the communities we serve. Providing community resources is one way that we can support our customers and community members.

For the third year in a row, Summit Utilities, the parent company of Arkansas Oklahoma Gas has pledged more than $80k to focus on community giving. Twenty thousand dollars of this pledge is being donated in Arkansas and Oklahoma. We will be focusing our 2022 community giving program on these areas of interest:

  • Food Insecurity
  • Child Wellbeing & Advocacy Programs

Application Process

While Arkansas Oklahoma Gas will welcome all applications submitted, we strive to align our budgeted community dollars to support community organizations across our service territory impacting areas of interest and key priorities stated above. Successful grant applications are typically 501c3 non-profit organizations.

Application Window

March 18, 2022 – May 13, 2022; our team member lead review committee will announce grant recipients on or before June 1, 2022.

In addition, to supporting community causes, Summit also provides members of our team with up to 20 hours of paid time to volunteer in the communities we serve annually. If your organization has a volunteer opportunity, you’d like us to know about please contact:

What cannot be considered is requests from outside our service area, we cannot give to political organizations and most school fundraising (examples: yearbook, key club, etc.)
