The Summit Cares charitable giving program is funded by Summit Utilities, Inc., the parent company of Arkansas Oklahoma Gas. We are proud to offer grant funding to nonprofits in our AOG footprint.
Through our Summit Cares program, we focus our support on four key areas where we can make the most meaningful impact: meeting essential needs, enriching community life, protecting our environment, and inspiring curiosity through STEAM education.

Basic Human Needs
Supporting nonprofits that provide life's essentials—food, shelter, and critical resources—helping neighbors when they need it most.
Community Enrichment
We invest in cultural and recreational programs that foster belonging and vibrancy. By celebrating community life and encouraging participation, we help build inclusive, dynamic spaces where everyone feels welcome and inspired.
Environmental Stewardship
Protecting our environment by supporting efforts in energy efficiency, waste reduction, and pollution reduction—creating a healthier future for generations to come.
STEAM Education
Empowering students, teachers, and lifelong learners to explore, innovate, and dream big through Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics programs.
To ensure we make the most meaningful impact possible, Arkansas Oklahoma Gas generally does not contribute grant funding to:
Organizations that practice discrimination
Organizations outside of Arkansas Oklahoma Gas's service areas
Contests, trips, or tours
Sports teams
Utility bill payments
Staff or salaries
Volunteer fire departments
Event sponsorship requests
Educational institutions, including K-12 schools, school districts, colleges, and universities
Applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations located within the Arkansas Oklahoma Gas service area.

The Arkansas Family Alliance (AFA) supports families and children in need by addressing the root causes of poverty, instability, and family separation. With its grant, the organization plans to expand its response network by providing training and resources to address emergency food relief, home repairs, and essential items such as cribs and bedding.

The Boys & Girls Club of Van Buren offers a safe, supportive environment where youth ages 6–18 build academic, social, and emotional skills through engaging after-school and summer programs. We’re proud to support the Club’s STEAM program by helping provide essential materials, supplies, and field trip opportunities that bring learning to life.
Grant: $5,000.00
The Community Services Clearinghouse reaches more than 300 families each month and 2,000 children each week through its food pantry. We’re proud to provide a grant to support its Meals for Kids Backpack Program, which delivers backpacks of ready-to-eat food to children at 145 schools, helping ensure they have nutritious meals on weekends.

We’re honored to provide funding for the Donald W. Reynolds Cancer Support House’s Comprehensive Patient Support Program, which provides essential services that reduce barriers to care and improve the quality of life for cancer patients and their caregivers across Arkansas and Oklahoma.
Grant: $10,000.00
Through innovative STEAM programs, Fort Smith Boys & Girls Clubs prepare youth for success in school, future careers, and an ever-changing workforce while inspiring the next generation of innovators and community leaders. Grant funding will directly support STEAM labs and Workforce Development Career Labs, where real-world skills are built through creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.

Celebrating 90 years of community impact, Girls Inc. of Fort Smith is dedicated to empowering girls 5–18, and this grant will be used to support year-round mentorship, after-school care, and hands-on, research-based STEAM focused programs in a safe, all-girl environment.
Grant: $5,000.00
Guided by the principle of “Neighbors Helping Neighbors,” the Muldrow Cherokee Community Organization feeds hundreds of Oklahomans each month. The organization plans to use this grant to expand food distribution, develop wellness programs, and launch a community farmers market, ensuring more Muldrow residents have access to fresh, nutritious food.

The Sebastian Retired Citizens Association provides more than 15,000 meals each month to those in need across Sebastian and Scott Counties. We’re pleased that this grant will help purchase ice machines, a proofing cabinet, and a steam table to support hydration for heat-sensitive seniors and improve meal quality.
