At Arkansas Oklahoma Gas, we understand that we are only as strong as the communities we serve, which is why each year we partner with local charitable organizations, schools, industry groups and our employees to give back to those we serve and their communities with these goals in mind:

Support the betterment of the communities and people we serve, enhance relationships within the communities, and support business development and growth.

Community Partnerships

United Way mobilizes our community in ways that no single agency, individual, or government can to enhance the ability of people to care for one another. That’s why AOG partners with the United Way to raise money for charitable organizations throughout our communities. Employees can help by being an advocate, giving, and/or volunteering with the United Way. The company will match employee contributions up to $5,000 annually to the United Way Campaign.

AOG proudly partners with more local organizations & events

Belch Chili Cook Off, First Tee of Fort Smith, Fort Smith Art Center, Fort Smith Barbecue Society, Fort Smith Boys & Girls Club, Fort Smith Riverfront Blues Festival, Girls Inc., Juneteenth Community Celebration, Old Fort Days Rodeo, Partners in Education – Darby Junior High, Second Street Live Performing Arts and U.S. Marshals Museum.

Volunteer Time Off (VTO)

To further show our investment in the communities we operate in, we aim to go beyond charitable giving in a monetary form. After all, to be truly dedicated requires not only financial assistance but an investment of time as well. Summit’s volunteer time off (VTO) program is something we consider a perk for both our team members and our communities. VTO allows our team to give back to the local areas we serve, it promotes personal growth, self-esteem, and it’s fun and brings people together!

More great reasons our team members love Summit VTO:

  • VTO reduces stress and makes for a healthier workplace
  • VTO unites people from diverse backgrounds to work towards a common goal
  • VTO works to strengthen our communities
  • VTO encourages civic responsibility

Elementary School Presentations

One of our core values as a company is safety. Because of this, AOG developed a natural gas safety presentation for kids! The presentation is focused on educating 3rd-4th graders on natural gas and how to be safe using it. Core ideas include “call 8-1-1 before you dig”, safety around construction sites, and what to do if you smell gas. For more information and to request a presentation, please fill out the form below.
