Summit Utilities Inc. is the recipient of the Southern Gas Association’s 2019 Engineering Innovation Award for the company’s development of the Work Order Field Application (WOFA). The WOFA is a mobile platform used to access and record information about the company’s pipeline system, allowing it to track system components from “dock” to “ditch.” The information collected has helped Summit improve purchasing, gain operational effectiveness, garner real-time insights from construction projects.

Arkansas (Aug. 9, 2019) – August 11 marks National 811 Day. To celebrate, Arkansas Oklahoma Gas Corporation (AOG) is reminding Arkansas and Oklahoma residents and contractors to call 811 to have underground utility lines marked prior to any project that requires digging, excavation or driving materials, like fence posts, into the ground. Every nine minutes someone damages an underground utility line because no one called 811 before digging.

FT. SMITH, Arkansas – On April 25th, over 20 employees from the Ft. Smith offices volunteered at United Way of Ft. Smith's annual Day of Caring. Employees completed a variety of projects, including painting rooms in a women and children's shelter and organizing a warehouse of donated items at two Salvation Army locations, as well as volunteering to spend time assisting residents at a local nursing home.

FT. SMITH, Arkansas – Each year, employees choose projects around Thanksgiving and Christmas-time and raise funds to support those projects. AOG employees recently partnered with Leadership Fort Smith to provide Christmas gifts for foster children. AOG sponsored Christmas gifts for 10 foster children. Employees received names and shopping lists for the children, then purchased the gifts and dropped them off for gift wrapping and delivery. [...]

Fort Smith, AR – – Arkansas employees recently volunteered with United Way on their annual Day of Caring projects. Volunteers painted and cleaned a building for the River Valley Christian Life Corps, then shared a lunch with the staff before heading back to work for the rest of the day. AOG employees receive 20 hours a year to volunteer time off to give back to the communities the company services.
