AOG is dedicated to educating people of all ages how our operations work
Fort Smith, Arkansas (May 19, 2023) – Arkansas Oklahoma Gas (AOG) participated in the second annual Touch-a-Truck event at the Montessori School of Ft. Smith. On Tuesday, May 16th, students learned first-hand about the 15-ton AOG dump truck used to haul materials such as sand, gravel, and dirt to job sites. The AOG cook team also provided hotdogs for lunch to about 100 students, educators, and community members who attended the event.
“Our team at AOG is dedicated to educating people of all ages about how our operations work because this promotes and enhances the safety of everyone in the communities we serve,” said John Jobe, Manager of Gas Control. “This annual event inspires children to see, explore and climb aboard to learn about the many fascinating trucks, and it’s our honor to participate each year.”
AOG, alongside the Ft. Smith Fire Department and Arkhola Sand and Gravel Company, gave students the unique opportunity to interact and learn why these vehicles are essential to our community.
