Byers, Colorado (August 25, 2025) – Colorado Natural Gas (CNG) hosted its annual Heat Help Meeting at May Farms in Byers, bringing together customers and community partners to share resources that help families manage energy costs and prepare for the winter heating season. The event featured information on budget billing, billing assistance programs, gas infrastructure planning, disconnection prevention, and energy efficiency rebates.
“Supporting our customers means making sure they know about every tool and program available to keep their homes warm,” said Todd Jacobs, Chief Operating Officer at CNG. “This event is about more than sharing information; it’s about building connections and helping families access the assistance they need. Energy assistance is something we care deeply about at CNG.”
A highlight of the evening was the company’s partnership with Energy Outreach Colorado (EOC), a statewide nonprofit that provides emergency financial assistance to help households avoid disconnection and pay down past-due balances. EOC serves income-qualified Coloradans, including those who may not qualify for the Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) or who still owe a balance after receiving LEAP support.
Working through a network of local partner agencies and online portals, EOC pays energy providers directly to reduce or eliminate past-due bills. Colorado Natural Gas customers benefit from dedicated EOC programs, available year-round as funding allows.
